Child Protection Mediation Practicum Project 

  • A joint venture between Ministry of Children and Family Development, the Ministry of Attorney General, and the Law Foundation of British Columbia and Child Protection Mediation Practicum Society the practicum is designed to support the growth of child protection mediation throughout the province by providing an opportunity for individuals, with or without prior mediation experience, in Aboriginal and geographically remote communities throughout British Columbia to develop mediation skills in a hands-on practicum environment.

  • Practicum mediators participate in 10 Small Claims Court mediations of approximately 2 hours each, and are supervised by highly skilled and experienced mentors. Practicum mediations are scheduled in the mediation registries as listed in Rule 7.2 - Schedule C
